So you’ve overslept. Or spent a night getting a little … over served. Or, maybe you have a more low-maintenance vision of yourself you’d like to live up to by streamlining your morning routine. Whichever your reason, take heed of a few of these morning makeup hacks to get you out the door stat, while still looking put-together
Try a tinted moisturizer, or better yet, a tinted sunscreen
Not only will you get a dewy and more even skin tone in one fell swoop (or swipe, of the brush, beauty blender, fingers), but you’ll be protecting yourself from premature aging. We think of this as a triple win.
Don’t worry about eyeliner. Especially liquid
A pencil is easy to smudge if you’re totally eyeliner addicted, but a deeply pigmented pressed powder shadow with an eyeliner brush is the most fool-proof way to give your eyes a smoky pop. You really can’t mess this up

A pencil is easy to smudge if you’re totally eyeliner addicted, but a deeply pigmented pressed powder shadow with an eyeliner brush is the most fool-proof way to give your eyes a smoky pop to widen them up with an infinite margin for error—you really can’t mess this up.
Use it lightly on the top lash line, a little heavier on the bottom. Wing it, or bring it in to your upper lid crease for a defined, natural vibe. You can easily go anywhere from subtle to dramatic with this technique, too, so you’re not limited to a single look.
Nude lip liner.
Many will say that a pop of lipstick is the easiest way to glam up on the fly, and well, they’re not wrong. Especially if you’re going super minimal on the rest of the face. But we can’t sit here and tell you that applying hot pink or fiery red lipstick expertly is as quick as a swipe of lip balm. Oh no. You might end up looking sloppier than if you’d just reached for your trusty chapstick.
The toughest part about nude liner is finding the right shade or shades for you, but you can have several. Try one that closest matches your lip color for a very naturally defined lip, or go a little deeper for a 90’s matte look.A nearly brick-red nude is a sexy, polished look, and less of a commitment to clean up mistakes than a true red or bright lip. Who knew it could be that simple?!
For some of us ladies, the brows are non-negotiable. But when you don’t have the bandwidth to painstakingly pencil them in, a few swipes of a pigmented gel will get them to pop, and stay in place.
For a little warmth, blush is absolutely key. Get a multi-use compact that has a shimmer for highlight, as well as a pink or red pigment you can dab on your apples and the tip of your nose for a naturally flushed look. Blend it from the center of your lips out, and maybe a swipe on the lids to give some well-rounded warmth to the whole face. A multi-stick in a mauvy shade is great for the cheeks, lips, and lids as well!

Uniform, perfect, woke-up-like-this lashes, day after day with the appropriate once-monthly maintenance will save you time every day whether you’re in a pinch or not. Low maintenance never looked so good.
